We’ve Exchanged!!!!!!!

WE’RE THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WE’VE EXCHANGED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I swear I don’t even know what to say but I figured I just had to let you know as it is such a HUMONGOUS pivotal moment in this journey.

I laugh so much as I write this because the celebrations that are already pouring in from our loved ones are so big and OTT that you’d honestly think we had actually completed and moved into our new home already!!!!!!! My mum cried almost as much as me (I say almost because I actually sobbed so much that James had to remind me gently that nobody has died!!) LOL. SO MUCH EMOTION just pouring out of me from god knows where, I guess months of built-up frustration.

I’ve had the estate agents calling me to congratulate, even our lovely valuer who we’ve not spoken to since he valued our home, he’d been keeping up with the drama in the office and said he just had to ring to congratulate us! Everybody is buzzing for us which is lovely (and yes I’m fully aware that most people are probably just thrilled that they don’t have to put up with my stressing and moping anymore, SORRY GUYSSSSSSS!) But hey, you’re here reading this so you must have been at least somewhat interested in what’s going on!

We have a completion date of the end of July, but the fact that we know now for sure that we WILL be moving, and that they WON’T take the house off us and we WON’T lose all the money we’ve put in so far after what feels like an eternity of battling, well it just needs to be celebrated doesn’t it!

I know you’re DYING to know how we’re celebrating!

Wait for it… it’s as glam as it gets.

We’re heading to Sofology to FINALLY order the sofa we chose weeks ago that has a 19-week wait that we didn’t want to order until we exchanged for fear of throwing more money down the pan! Then we’re going for a cheeky Nando’s before coming back and HAMMERING the bottle of champers that has been patiently waiting in the fridge for this day!!!! All in time for the start of Love Island and our holiday on Wednesday.

WHAT A DAY.

I’ll be posting again when I’ve managed to compose myself and stopped drinking my body weight in celebratory fizz, but for now, I am just going to relish in the wonderful news and actually let it start to sink in that we’re going to be moving away!

Side note: I am so touched by all your support and being along for the ride with me, I laugh so much because this blog series just started out as a way for me to document and remember the journey (Ha! How naive I was thinking it’d be nice to look back on!!!!) I actually had no idea so many people would get so invested!
