Hello and welcome to my new blog series, The 5 Minute Coffee Corner! I’m so excited to have you here! There’s a great podcast I listen to called Becoming Virtuosa and one of the things that I particularly love about it is that each week, there’s a segment at the end of each episode where the host, Dr. Susan Crockett shares what she or her guests have been reading, watching or listening to this week. I really look forward to it at the end of each episode and I’ve taken some really great recommendations from it. I always get strangely excited when they discuss a book that I’ve read or a film that I’ve watched, and so it’s inspired me to share my own!
And voila! The 5 Minute Coffee Corner* series was born.
*Disclaimer: You don’t need to drink coffee to read or take part, any beverage (or lack of) is perfectly fine!
Clearly, I love a series (check out The Corona Diaries and A Year of Mindfulness if you don’t believe me!), so what better reason is there to add another to my collection? I wanted to create an easy read for people – a place where I can share recommendations with people and they can spend 5 minutes a week checking them out and potentially gaining some real joy from what I share (because trust me – some of the stuff I’m going to share is great!)
I’ll be publishing a post in this series on a weekly basis, and letting you all know what I’ve done that week in the form of reading, watching, listening to, and thinking. If you want to get involved, you can share what you’ve been up to in the comments, otherwise, this will just be a weekly offload of things I’ve done. I’m so excited to get started!
